It's nearly impossible to overstate the threat of climate change. Greenhouse gas emissions are rising more rapidly than predicted and consequently the world is warming more quickly.
Global warming will have catastrophic effects such as accelerating sea level rise, droughts, floods, storms and heat waves. These will impact some of the world's poorest and most vulnerable people, disrupting food production, and threatening vitally important species, habitats and ecosystems.
Despite compelling scientific evidence, governments and businesses have responded very slowly. Even if countries fulfill all current mitigation pledges, the world will still face between 2.6 and 4 ºC of warming.
As we work to reduce emissions, we must simultaneously begin to adapt to the increasing impacts of climate change.
We need this new global deal to encourage governments to take ambitious and urgent action, so the planet can avoid the worst impacts of climate change.
In my opinion it is doing little to stop global warming and not giving any information as priority that we hear but we do not care anything because we keep doing the same.
and fail to be interested in doing this to have a retreat or at least take longer to emerge.
Because of this the layer of greenhouse gas is getting thicker, which is in turn making the Earth warmer. Thus the ongoing unlimited burning of fossil fuels is the cause of climate change.
In order to satisfy our endless hunger for energy we are buring unlimited quantities of fossil fuels.
But, this does not have to be the case, thanks to human ingenuity there are now smarter ways to make energy.
